Preparation of Barramundi RAS G-CAV Trials Has Begun

We are excited to share that in collaboration with Hydrogen Technologies, we have returned from one of several preliminary visits to a barramundi farm in Far North Queensland. This is in preparation for trials of our G-CAV nanobubble infusion technology on fingerling tanks.

Oxygen nanobubble infusion with the G-CAV significantly improves the dissolved oxygen levels in water within a single pass and retains oxygen for longer than traditional aeration or oxygenation methods. By conducting trials in a live tank environment, we will be able to gain valuable insight into the most effective implementation of our technology within Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) as they continue to grow in popularity.

By utilizing oxygen nanobubble infusion within RAS, both growth rate and maximum stocking density of fish will increase as overall water quality and fish health improves. In a barramundi hatchery, faster growth rates will translate to lower mortality rate, as barramundi in the fingerling stage have a tendency to attack and consume one another. Lessening the time period in which this would occur increases the chance of survival.

Once these trials are completed, Global Cavitation is looking forward to implementation and monitoring in other systems, such as freshwater and saltwater ponds.

Our technology will greatly increase efficiency and profitability within this sector, and we eagerly await the results.
